About Kate Hogg, Director
Kate has over 25 years’ experience in high value fundraising and nearly ten years as a consultant, helping charities of all shapes and sizes engage funders in their causes.
She is a dyed-in-the-wool believer in the value of relationship fundraising and a stalwart enthusiast of peer-led fundraising techniques to transform income. She is also a passionate advocate for mid-level fundraising, encouraging charities to do better for this overlooked but extremely loyal and generous supporter group.
Kate has worked with trustees, development and appeal boards, major donors, senior executive teams and fundraisers, both in-house and as a consultant. Kate set up Beneficial Fundraising in 2016, after five years as a Senior Consultant at the Management Centre.
For many years, Kate worked at the NSPCC, where she held senior roles in both Fundraising and ChildLine services.
Her responsibilities included leading ChildLine’s Child’s Voice Appeal which raised £46m to develop ChildLine’s online service and NSPCC Helpline. She was led the NSPCC’s Major Donor team for seven years and served as a Campaign Manager during the £300m Full Stop Appeal.
Elsewhere, Kate sits on the Fundraising Sub-Committee of Oxfam GB’s Board of Trustees and volunteers in the food redistribution depot of The Felix Project.
In her spare time, she enjoys the company of her family and friends, open water swimming, and zooming about town on her motorbike.
